SEPULTURERO is an action-drama film in 2011. It tackles the life of a grave-digger, named Popoy, who considers cemetery as his life where he finds his own happiness, misery and destiny. The film talks about the different human challenges of an ordinary cemetery worker despite the solemnity and serenity of the resting place he calls home. Popoy and his family are forced to live in the cemetery due to economic pressure from the real human community. They find their own living inside the cemetery where they live normally, but their escape from human society does not exempt them from social trials and despair. Their life becomes dispirited when Popoy has witnessed the slaying of a prominent person inside the graveyard because of the human trafficking issue.
