KALATAS is a trilogy melodrama film that reveals and deals with the "Life and Dreams" of an OFW, a teacher, and an archetypal young man. This movie reflects the call to fight for human existence. The first episode is a story of a typical housewife who forces herself to work abroad to provide what is due to her family when her husband suffers from an extreme depression upon losing job. The second episode shows the strenuous efforts of the family to extend the value of teaching profession from generation to generation. The third and the final episode deals with the story of an ordinary young man from the outland who feels contented and comfortable with the flow of simple living.
